(What little I know)
They are a family of corporations, with an office in Carbondale, CO. Each corp. does business as “Regency of . . .” For example, “Regency of Georgia, Inc.” One man, Peter Bakos, is vice president of a bunch of Regency corporations. (Wow! What a l-o-n-g Peter!)
Churchill is owned by Barbi Benton Gradow (yes, that Barbi Benton). Her husband George seems to be retired. They also own self-storage places—maybe about 15?
Holding about 25 parks, Churchill is not at all one of the biggest players: Other groups or corporations own over 100.
Because they are “closely held corporations” (meaning no outsider owns stock), they aren’t required to reveal much: I don’t know if four people or 75 work in the home office.
The best goody I’ve found on line was posted by a group that made a loan of over half a billion dollars (!) to Churchill in 2014. The document lists these parks as loan collateral—from most valuable to least:

The loan document states that Barbi Gradow then owned five other parks—not named because they didn’t serve as collateral. I’m nearly certain these three are Churchill properties.

I’m fuzzy about some other parks:
—The document includes a picture of “Village Green Regency,” but it’s not listed as collateral and I can’t find it on the net

Please tell us if you live in one I missed or am not sure about! This is NOT easy stuff to track down.
I live in Oxford. The management is crooked and corporate dont seem to give a hoot.
ReplyDeletefamily lives in iowa city regency can't find a number that works for the Churchill group. the number that was supplied by management does not work. You get through but then you push ext 13 no one answers,push ex 22 voice mail comes on not taking messages then try ext 22 no answer voice mail of mike someone leave a message no one gets back to you.

ReplyDeleteI live in Brookdale Estates Rapid City, SD and lot rent has gone up so high, people are losing their homes. I've tried calling corporate and they NEVER answer the phone or return phone calls!! They don't care. There are also tons of property up for lease ALL owned by the same company...fishy!!
DeleteSan marcos tx bought a new trailer threw them have been waiting a lil bit under a year now hiring a lawyer because office staff and up have been giving me run around fired last lady then all of a sudden a couple of us our recipes and everything are missing
ReplyDeleteI lived in canby regency and there is no there to complain too either bad water and the worse management ever. steals peoples homes and takes peoples names off deeds with their knowledge. the manager rides around on her bike acting a fool drunk and stupid always looking to cause a problem. but the worse thing ever is the fact that the water on a private well has 39x legal limit of cancer causing agents dating way back know this and the park is afraid to stand up to her because she will find anything to get you kicked out. several people have died from cancer that lived there and or have tumors including animals I being one of them and lost my mother and my aunt to cancer months apart, plus my neighbors and nice elderly couple wife died from cancer and the husband died from brain tumors. my cat and dog both had tumors my cat died and the dog is on her last leg now. need help
